Think of Me

Think of me as stone
when I forget to roll over
in the rush of water,
on a hillside of flowers.

Think of me as a flower
as my petals begin to droop
in the hot sun,
on your table in a vase.

I may be like a vase
designed to display beauty
made of blue glass
or baked clay

like rock.  Think of me as rock
if I fail to move
when you fill me with flowers,

on a hillside, by the water.
